The Apollo Lunar Module is a two-stage vehicle was designed to for lunar orbit, descent and ascent from the lunar surface. It measures almost 23' tall and is about 31' wide on the diagonal.

The landing gear struts each have a pad that are just over 3' in diameter.

Three of the pads have a 60" long surface sensing probe which signsals the crew to shut down the descent engine upon contact with the surface.

The Ascent Stage
The ascent stage is made up of 3 main sections: crew compartment, midsection and aft equipment bay. The crew compartment and midsection are the only presurized areas.
The cylindrical crew compartment is just over 90" in diameter and 42" deep.
